Katsina Police Arrest Terrorism Financier Aminu Hassan

The Katsina State Police Command arrested Aminu Hassan, a 25-year-old man from Dundubus, Danja Local Government Area, on November 19, 2024, for financing terrorism. Hassan is accused of aiding armed bandits terrorizing Danmusa Local Government Area (LGA) and surrounding areas.

Hassan was detained during a routine patrol along the Yantumaki and Kankara highway, where police discovered two pairs of military uniforms in his possession. Following his arrest, three additional suspects were detained in connection with the crime: Lawal Ahmad (29), Isma’il Dalhatu (24), both from Zaria LGA, Kaduna State, and Shafi’u Adamu (28) from Danjaba Village, Soba LGA, Kaduna State.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, and police recovered 14 pairs of military uniforms and one police uniform. These uniforms were believed to be intended for use by the armed bandits in their criminal activities.
