Amber Williams Arrested After Aberdeen Wreck Reveals Drugs

ABERDEEN, N.C. — A two-vehicle wreck on New Year’s Day in Aberdeen led to the arrest of Amber Williams, 38, from Raeford, a wanted woman with an outstanding warrant from Hoke County. The crash occurred on Highway 1 and 15-501, prompting a response from Aberdeen Police officers.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that Williams had an active warrant for charges of driving while license revoked, reckless driving, and driving left of center. She was placed under arrest for the warrant, and during a search incident to her arrest, officers found Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia on her person.

A further search of the vehicle Williams was occupying revealed marijuana. As a result, Williams was charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Fentanyl), misdemeanor possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams was held on a secured bond of $8,000 set by a Moore County magistrate.
