Amber Mauceli Arrested for Theft and Drug Possession in Jasper County

Jasper County Woman Arrested for Theft and Drug Charges

Amber Mauceli, 33, of Woodville, was arrested on drug and theft charges in Jasper County on February 1. Deputies discovered methamphetamine residue in her vehicle during a theft investigation.

The incident began when Sgt. Chris Wade responded to a theft in progress at the Dollar General on Sam Rayburn Parkway. The store manager informed him that a woman was caught on video surveillance attempting to steal items.

Sgt. Wade contacted Mauceli, who admitted her intent to steal the concealed items. She consented to a search of the vehicle she had been in, which led to the discovery of a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue and a Ziploc bag containing marijuana residue in her backpack.

Mauceli was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail. She faces charges of Class C Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
