Ambala Police Arrest Two, Seize 457 Grams of Heroin Worth Rs3.50 Crore

The CIA-2 unit of Ambala police arrested two individuals and seized 457 grams of heroin from their possession on Sunday. The international market value of the recovered drug is estimated at Rs3.50 crore.

The suspects have been identified as Manish Kumar and Sunil Kumar, both residents of Mahesh Nagar. After their arrest, they were produced before a court, which sent them to four-day police remand.

According to an Ambala police spokesman, the arrest was made following a tip-off. A check-post was set up near Shahpur village on the Delhi-Ambala national highway, under the jurisdiction of the Parao police station. When a suspected car approached, the police stopped the vehicle, leading to the discovery of the 457 grams of heroin. A case was subsequently registered at the Parao police station.

The police have initiated further investigations into the drug trafficking operation.
