Ambala Police Arrest Two Accomplices in Harbilas Rajjumajra Murder Case

In a major breakthrough in the Harbilas Rajjumajra murder case, Ambala police have arrested two more accused—Abhishek, a resident of Shahzadpur, and Rajan, a resident of Naraingarh, after a brief exchange of fire in Shahzadpur on Thursday. Both men are believed to be accomplices of Sagar, the main shooter in the case, who was killed in a police encounter with the Special Task Force (STF) and Ambala police on Wednesday.

During the arrest operation, the suspects were traveling on a two-wheeler. The CIA-1 unit of Ambala police, acting on a tip-off, attempted to arrest the men. Upon seeing the police, the accused opened fire, prompting the police to retaliate. In the exchange of fire, both Abhishek and Rajan sustained bullet injuries to their legs and were taken to the community health center in Shahzadpur. They were later referred to the Civil Hospital in Ambala City for further treatment.

The police recovered two illicit weapons from the accused. Ambala SP Surinder Singh Bhoria confirmed that Rajan was present during the exchange of fire, while Abhishek was involved in reconnaissance, arranging cars, and procuring weapons.

In a related development, Rohit, another suspect in the case, was produced before the court on Wednesday and sent to one-day police remand. Meanwhile, the body of Sagar was handed over to his family for the final rites.
