Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle held a press conference Wednesday revealing the arrest of ultra-luxury real estate brokers, the Alexander brothers—Oren and Alon—both 37, in connection with a series of sexual assault cases spanning over a decade.
In a joint investigation involving both South Florida and New York authorities, the brothers were arrested on charges of sexual assault, with their sibling Tal Alexander also taken into custody. The charges stem from multiple allegations of sexual assault and trafficking, including accusations of drugging victims and using their real estate industry prominence to target women.
The charges, which date back to 2010, involve drugging, raping, and sexually assaulting victims, some of whom were lured with promises of luxury accommodations and experiences. The indictment claims the brothers, along with accomplices, arranged for these assaults, often drugging victims to prevent resistance. Drugs like cocaine, GHB, and mushrooms were allegedly used to subdue women before the assaults occurred.
Court documents also highlight three separate incidents where victims have come forward with harrowing accounts. One alleged victim was assaulted by the brothers in what is described as a “gang rape” in 2016, while others recount being drugged and sexually assaulted by Oren Alexander in subsequent years.
Despite their high-profile real estate careers, which include brokering some of the most expensive properties in U.S. history, the brothers face serious allegations, with accusations that stretch as far back as their high school years. Prosecutors in New York have charged all three with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, including using force and fraud to coerce victims into sexual acts.
Authorities are calling for more potential victims to come forward, as they continue their investigation into the Alexander brothers’ alleged criminal activities. Meanwhile, the brothers’ cousin, Ohad Fisherman, also faces charges but remains at large.
As the case progresses, the real estate moguls’ lavish careers have become overshadowed by the severe allegations they now face.
