Albanian Drug Dealer Renato Kaloti Jailed for £250,000 Cannabis Farm

DUNDEE, Scotland (WKRC) — Renato Kaloti, a 28-year-old Albanian drug dealer, has been sentenced to two years in prison after overseeing a £250,000 cannabis farm spread across two remote cottages in Scotland.

Kaloti, who was banned from Switzerland for heroin trafficking, entered the UK illegally and paid 13,000 Euro to an Albanian gang to smuggle him into the country. He used the money borrowed from his mother, planning to repay it with his share of profits from the illegal cannabis cultivation.

The operation was discovered when a SEPA official investigating power usage at cottages on Neuk Farm noticed a bypassed meter and a strong smell of cannabis. Police were called, and Kaloti surrendered, admitting to the cultivation and his illegal entry into the UK.

Police uncovered 309 cannabis plants with an estimated value of £231,750. Kaloti admitted to working for another Albanian drug dealer and agreed to oversee the cannabis production. Following his sentence, Kaloti will be deported back to Albania.
