Akhilesh Shetty Arrested for Ganja Possession Worth Rs 1.62 Lakh

Udupi police have arrested Akhilesh Shetty (30), a resident of Ambalpady, for illegal possession of ganja valued at Rs1.62 lakh. During the operation, police also seized his mobile phone and ₹660 in cash.

The investigation revealed that Shetty had been transporting the ganja by train from Mumbai to Udupi. The arrested individual has a criminal history, with six cases registered against him at various police stations.

Akhilesh Shetty’s involvement in drug trafficking has been a longstanding issue, with his activities spreading across multiple regions. Police are continuing their investigation into his operations and are seeking to identify any other individuals involved in the drug trade.
