Akeem Long Jailed for Drug Offenses, Receives 4-Year Sentence

Akeem Long, 31, from Ipswich, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison after being convicted of multiple drug-related offenses at Ipswich Crown Court.

Long, who operated the ‘Tiny’ drug line, was found to have been sending bulk messages advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine. He admitted to being involved in the supply of these drugs, possessing cannabis, obstructing a police officer, and holding criminal property.

In addition to his prison sentence, Long was also issued a Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO) that will last for five years.

Judge David Wilson acknowledged the defendant’s efforts to address his offending behavior, leading to the decision to impose a sentence shorter than the mandatory minimum of seven years. Despite the severity of his actions, the judge took into account the steps Long had taken towards rehabilitation.
