Ajit, a 27-year-old criminal from JJ Colony, Noida, was arrested by the Noida Sector 20 police during a routine check near DLF Mall on the night of October 1-2. When the police stopped his motorcycle, which lacked a number plate, Ajit attempted to flee and opened fire on the officers. The police responded, and during the ensuing encounter, Ajit was shot in the leg and taken into custody.
Ajit, who has been linked to multiple robberies and car thefts, was found in possession of a stolen Splendor bicycle and an illegal .315 caliber firearm with ammunition. Authorities have confirmed that several cases of robbery and dacoity have been filed against him in Noida, and further investigations are ongoing.
