Ahmednagar Man Arrested for ₹4 Crore Army Recruitment Scam

A man has been arrested in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, for orchestrating a massive recruitment scam, posing as an Army Major and defrauding victims of up toRs4 crore. The arrest was made during a joint operation by military intelligence and Bingar Camp police.

The accused, identified as Satyajit Barath Kamble, is currently in police custody for four days until September 16, 2024, after which he will be presented before the district magistrate on September 17, 2024.

According to police statements, Kamble operated a widespread recruitment racket across multiple states, including Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, and New Delhi. Along with his accomplices, he reportedly deceived hundreds of candidates under the false pretense of securing them jobs in the Army and the Military Engineer Services.
