Ahmedabad Police Arrest Jaikishan Dineshbhai Khandelwal for Drug Possession

In a major drug bust operation, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch’s Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested 38-year-old Jaikishan Dineshbhai Khandelwal on January 30 for possessing Mephedrone, a banned narcotic. Acting on a tip-off, the SOG conducted a raid near the Odhav crossroads, just outside The Grand Vinayak Hotel, and apprehended Khandelwal, a resident of Chandkheda.

During the operation, authorities seized 17 grams and 360 milligrams of Mephedrone, valued at Rs12.28 lakh. The arrested individual did not have any valid permit for the narcotic substance.

Following his arrest, an FIR was registered at the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) police station under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The investigation is being carried out by Police Sub-Inspector Z S Sheikh.
