Ahmad Shakil Mallik Arrested with MD Drug Powder Worth Rs11.22 Lakh

Thane Police have arrested a 39-year-old man, Ahmad Shakil Ahmed Mallik alias Sonu, after seizing 110 gm of MD drug powder, valued at approximately Rs11.22 lakh, from his possession in Thane district, Maharashtra.

The arrest was made on Monday evening after the crime unit acted on a tip-off and apprehended Mallik near a lodge at Kanheri in the Bhiwandi area. A search of his belongings led to the discovery of the contraband.

During interrogation, Mallik revealed that he had obtained the drugs from a Bhiwandi resident named Ravish.

The police are continuing their investigation into the source of the MD powder and any potential links to larger drug trafficking networks.
