Adrian Hickey Arrested in Colorado Springs Burglary Incident

Colorado Springs, CO — Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers responded to a business burglary on Sunday, February 2, after a witness reported suspicious activity near East Platte Avenue and North Murray Boulevard.

At approximately 7:15 a.m., CSPD officers arrived at a business located on the 400 block of Murray Boulevard and found 51-year-old Adrian Hickey inside the building, causing property damage. According to CSPD, Hickey armed himself with a shard of broken glass during the incident.

After about 45 minutes of negotiation, Hickey surrendered peacefully and was arrested without further incident. He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief. The police were able to secure the scene and ensure there were no further injuries.

The situation remains under investigation as authorities work to gather additional details about Hickey’s actions. He is currently in custody and awaiting further legal proceedings.
