Abutahir Alias Anwar Arrested for Drug Peddling in Padil Area

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested a man, Abutahir alias Anwar (25), from Belthangady, on charges of drug peddling in the Padil area of the city. The police seized 4 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 1 lakh, along with a mobile phone and a two-wheeler during the arrest.

The operation was carried out after police received a tip-off about drug smuggling activities involving a two-wheeler in the Padil area. Following the lead, officers were able to apprehend Anwar and seize the drugs, which were being transported for illegal distribution.

Anwar’s arrest adds to the ongoing efforts by the CCB to crack down on drug peddling in the city. Investigations are ongoing, and police are working to uncover any other individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.
