Abu Firdaus Raji Arrested for Stealing Two-Wheelers in Guwahati

A 20-year-old man from Mangaldoi, Abu Firdaus Raji, was apprehended by the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the East Guwahati Police Division and Basistha Police Station for his involvement in two-wheeler thefts. Raji’s method involved posing as a potential buyer on the popular online platform, OLX. During test rides, he would make off with the vehicle.

Upon arrest, the police recovered a suspected stolen bike (registration number AS18M1149) and two mobile phones from Raji’s possession. The stolen items were seized, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the young thief.

The police investigation is ongoing as they probe further into the extent of Raji’s involvement in other similar thefts.
