Aberdeen, N.C. – Aberdeen police officers responded to an active disturbance call in the Glen Laurel subdivision on Thursday, where they discovered a man and a woman involved in a domestic dispute. Upon investigation, authorities determined the situation was a domestic disturbance that resulted in injuries to the female victim.
Ryan Domek-Hernandez, 35, of Aberdeen, was arrested and charged with felony assault by strangulation, misdemeanor domestic violence, and injury to personal property. Evidence collected at the scene, along with statements provided during the investigation, led to these charges.
Domek-Hernandez was taken before a Moore County magistrate, who denied him bond pending a hearing before a judicial official. The case is being further investigated, and additional details may be released as the legal proceedings unfold.
