Abdul Salam and Suraj Rai Arrested for MDMA Trafficking in Mangaluru

In a significant drug bust, the City Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested two individuals, Abdul Salam (30) and Suraj Rai (26), for transporting and selling MDMA in Mangaluru. Acting on a tip-off, the officers intercepted the duo on a two-wheeler near KC Road in Talapady.

During the operation, the police seized 15 grams of MDMA, valued at Rs75,000, along with two mobile phones, a digital weighing scale, and the Dio scooter they were using. The total estimated value of the seized items stands at Rs1.65 lakh.

Both accused hail from Kasargod district, Kerala, and have previous drug-related cases against them. They were allegedly sourcing MDMA from Kerala and selling it to the public and students in Mangaluru. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the full extent of the drug trafficking network and identify any other individuals involved.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of CCB ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, with the assistance of police inspectors Shyam Sundar H M, PSIs Narendra, and other CCB personnel. A case has been registered at the Ullal Police Station for further legal action.
