AASU Leader Anwar Khan Arrested for Theft in Kamrup

A man affiliated with the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Anwar Khan, was arrested by authorities in Kamalpur, Kamrup, Assam, on Sunday night. Khan, who serves as an advisor to the All Kamrup District Students’ Union, is accused of stealing a mixer machine that was being used for railway construction in Guwahati.

The incident occurred on November 7, 2024, in Sorutari, Sonapur, when the machinery, crucial for a railway construction project, was reported missing. Khan’s involvement in the theft was established following a thorough investigation by local police.

Khan’s arrest has brought attention to his position within AASU, with many in the community now questioning his role in this alleged criminal activity.
