A 21-year-old electrician, A. Anand, has been arrested by the Cyberabad police for stealing Rs50 lakh from a businessman’s residence in Laxmi Nagar Colony, Kompally. The theft, committed by Anand to fund his upcoming wedding, was uncovered after a complaint was filed by Velagapudi Bhavani Shankar, the victim.
The police swiftly tracked down Anand after an investigation, and he was arrested shortly after the complaint was lodged. Anand, a resident of Medak, had stolen the substantial sum from the home of Shankar, a well-known businessman in the area.
The investigation revealed that Anand, in desperate need of funds for his marriage, planned and executed the theft. The police have assured that further action will be taken, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
This case has once again raised concerns about thefts in residential areas, and police are urging citizens to remain vigilant.
