Luu Huynh Kim Long Arrested for Human Trafficking in Tay Ninh

Man Sold Women to Fraudulent Company in Cambodia

by Sophia Bennett

Luu Huynh Kim Long, a 32-year-old man from Tay Ninh province, has been arrested for allegedly tricking two women into being sold to a fraudulent company in Cambodia for $300 each. The arrest was made by Tay Ninh police on Friday as part of an investigation into human trafficking.

On June 18, authorities apprehended Long and a motorbike taxi driver as they were transporting two women, aged 18 and 28, to Cambodia via lesser-known routes. Long confessed that he had sold the women to a company located in the Kim Sa 3 area of Ba Vet City, Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia. He also revealed that he had previously sold three other women under similar circumstances.

Long claimed to be a recruiter who advertised job opportunities online, targeting Vietnamese individuals seeking work in Cambodia. His group lured victims with promises of high-paying jobs, only to sell them to companies involved in scams and fraudulent activities run by Chinese nationals.
