Pansuk Siriwipa, 29, is set to plead guilty on October 21 after a pre-trial conference on August 2. She faces over 180 charges, including cheating, money laundering, and misappropriating luxury watches valued at more than $198,000.
Her husband, 28-year-old Singaporean Pi Jiapeng, remains in the pre-trial stage, with no date yet for his plea. His defense counsel is expected to update the court on August 30.
Pi faces nine charges, which include possession of a luxury sports car allegedly acquired with tainted funds and aiding Pansuk in transferring $260,000 out of Singapore without declaration.
The couple has been in remand for nearly two years since their arrest on August 11, 2022, after evading authorities for over a month. They gained notoriety in July 2022 when more than 180 police reports were filed against their businesses, Tradenation and Tradeluxury.
Clients had prepaid for luxury watches and bags, but Pi and Pansuk allegedly failed to deliver, including items from brands like Rolex and Patek Philippe. The couple is accused of collecting over $24.7 million from Tradenation customers between March and June 2022, despite knowing the company was financially incapable of fulfilling orders.
Pansuk is also accused of accepting payments of $946,948 for luxury bags from Tradeluxury while aware of the company’s inability to deliver.
Pi was arrested on June 27, 2022, for suspected cheating, and released on bail the following day. Pansuk, initially assisting with investigations, surrendered her passport on June 30.
The couple fled Singapore on July 4, hiding in a container, prompting arrest warrants and Interpol red notices. On August 10, the Singapore Police received tips from the Royal Thai Police about their location in Johor Bahru, leading to their arrest the next day and subsequent return to Singapore.
