CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office has charged 41-year-old Delbert Tony Smalls Jr. from Adams Run with producing sexually explicit material involving children.
Smalls faces one count of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a serious felony that could result in up to 20 years in prison if convicted. The charge stems from allegations that Smalls created child sexual abuse material.
Investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, working alongside the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, apprehended Smalls on Tuesday.
The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, in a statement, confirmed the charges, stressing the severity of the crime.
