A 59-year-old labourer, Mohammad Jafar Karim Sheikh, was arrested by the police on Tuesday for allegedly breaking into shops and committing thefts in South Mumbai.
According to police reports, Sheikh would conduct a recce during the day to identify potential targets. Later, at night, he would forcibly enter the shops using a cutter. The police were able to apprehend him after investigating a series of such thefts in the area. Further details about the case are being explored as the investigation continues.
