5 Arrested in Organized Retail Theft at Canoga Park Malls

LOS ANGELES, CA (KTLA) — Five people were arrested this week in connection with organized retail theft in the Canoga Park area, authorities reported. The arrests were part of a series of blitz operations conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division on December 17.

The operations targeted retail theft hotspots, including Westfield Topanga Mall on Topanga Canyon Drive, a store on Victory Boulevard, and Fallbrook Mall on Fallbrook Avenue.

The suspects arrested were identified as:

Javid Gholami, 64
Artemus Shydian, 55
Diana Aragon, 54
Jacob Beccera, 20
Tanner Talei, 18
While several suspects were cited and released, others had pending warrants and were taken into custody. The LAPD did not specify which individuals were detained. The police also did not disclose what items were stolen or their total value.
