19-Year-Old Employee Arrested for Stealing Rs 3.5 Lakh from DLF Mall Outlet

A 19-year-old employee working at an outlet in DLF Mall has been arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 3.5 lakh from the store on Saturday.

The incident was reported when Amit Kumar, the shop owner, noticed the money missing from the shop’s locker around 6:30 pm on Friday. Upon further inspection, Kumar filed a complaint at Sector 20 police station, and authorities launched an investigation.

Police registered a case under Section 305A of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for theft in a dwelling house or similar premises. Investigators reviewed the CCTV footage from the store and identified the suspect, Anish, one of the employees. The footage showed him using a key to open the shop’s shutter and steal the money.

Following a detailed analysis of the footage, the police traced Anish to Khoda Colony in Ghaziabad. The arrested individual was found in possession of the stolen sum, Rs 3,53,740, which was recovered by the police.

The arrest was confirmed by Manish Kumar Mishra, Additional DCP (Noida), who mentioned that the CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying and apprehending the suspect. Further investigation is ongoing.
