Wilmington, DE – 18-year-old Alexander Corona has been arrested in connection to several vehicle thefts that occurred between April and October 2024 in the Wilmington area. The suspect, who was apprehended on Sunday at a residence in the Edgemoor neighborhood, faces multiple felony charges.
New Castle County Police began their investigation after a series of vehicle thefts were reported across several communities, including Paladin Club, High Point, Phillips Heights, Chateau Orleans, River Ridge, Claymont Terrace, and River Club. The stolen vehicles included a range of makes, such as Hyundais, Kias, Fords, and Chevys.
According to authorities, Corona was arrested on charges of:
Six felony counts of receiving stolen property valued over $1500
Three felony counts of conspiracy in the second degree
One felony count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle
