In a major cyber fraud bust, Nuh police successfully apprehended 15 individuals involved in fraudulent activities across the district. These individuals were engaged in a variety of cybercrimes, including posting deceptive advertisements on social media to defraud victims.

Authorities recovered a significant amount of illicit material from the suspects, including 20 mobile phones, 29 fake SIM cards, 250 counterfeit Mughal-era gold coins, and a fake gold brick. Additionally, 12 separate cases have been filed against the suspects for their criminal activities.

The police operation, which took place across multiple locations in the district, including Palla, Saunkh, Nai, and the Nuh-Hodal Road area, targeted cybercriminals who were using social media platforms to carry out fraudulent schemes. The crimes included fake hotel bookings, sextortion, impersonation as fake gold coin holders, and scamming people with false advertisements for Rapido taxi services.

The suspects manipulated victims by posting fraudulent ads and convincing them to transfer money for non-existent services. They also used fake SIM cards and mobile phones to create obscene videos of victims and then blackmail them with threats to make these videos go viral. These activities led to sextortion schemes, where the victims were coerced into transferring funds into fake bank accounts.

The arrested individuals have been identified as follows:

Gaffar from Badarpur village

Irshad from Nai village

Aslam from Ghata Shamshabad village

Shabir from Bawla village

Mohammad Kaif from Pathkhori village

Shahrukh from Sunari village

Sohil from Sakras village

Shoeb from Bisru village

Anis from Naheda village

Munfed from Sunhera village in Nuh

Rashid from Pachnaka village in Palwal district

Azaz from Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh

Arman from Gulpada village in Bharatpur district, Rajasthan

The interrogation of the suspects revealed that Arman was responsible for supplying the fake SIM cards from Uttar Pradesh and other states to facilitate these fraudulent activities. Authorities are continuing to question the accused as they investigate the full extent of the cyber fraud network operating across the region.

Nuh police have vowed to continue their efforts to dismantle the cybercrime syndicate and prevent further exploitation of innocent victims. The operation underscores the growing threat of cyber fraud and sextortion across various social media platforms, highlighting the importance of vigilance and reporting such incidents promptly.
