14 Arrested in Rs 4 Crore Scam, Including 4 Directors of ReCreate Future India

On Sunday, the Salem city police arrested 14 individuals, including four directors of a private firm, for deceiving the public and swindling approximately Rs 4 crore. The directors, identified as M Rajesh (35) of Tiruvannamalai, G Rajesh (35) of Kallakurichi, Sathyabama (32), and Haribaskar (40) of Dharmapuri, had established a private firm called ReCreate Future India two years ago.

The firm had invited applications for part-time or full-time employment with salaries ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 25,000, asking applicants to pay Rs 3,500 as a security deposit. They also introduced three investment plans, with promises to double investments of Rs 50,000, Rs 1 lakh, and Rs 2 lakh by the end of the term.

The scheme began to unravel when rumors surfaced that the directors, Rajesh and Sathyabama, were planning to flee. This led to investors gathering at the firm’s office in Swarnapuri on Saturday, which prompted an investigation. Pallapatti police were alerted and initiated inquiries. A special team led by Deputy Police Commissioner Geetha conducted raids on Sunday morning at the homes of the firm’s four directors.

During the raids, police seized a significant haul: Rs 3 crore in cash, 250 grams of gold ornaments, 20 grams of diamonds, and 2 kilograms of silver. In addition to the four directors, 10 others were arrested for obstructing the police during the search operation, including Rajendran (43), Kumar (50), Palanivel (45), Gopalakrishnan (37), Prabhu (29), Mahadevan (34), Rajeswari (39), Rani (35), Kalaivani (39), and Kala (40).

The directors have been taken into judicial custody and are currently lodged in Coimbatore Central Prison. The remaining arrested individuals are in Salem Central Prison. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather evidence against the suspects.
